Mission

Fashion&Talents builds its fashion show event around two core missions:

scouting for new talent and supporting charitable organisations.

SCOUTING

Beyond showcasing the work of Fashion Design students from Accademia del Lusso’s Rome and Milan campuses, the event actively scouts emerging designers from Italian institutions and selects outstanding young talent. Great importance is placed on the involvement of renowned international institutions, which bring the talent of their students to the heart of the capital through their creations celebrating the richness of cultural exchange.

SUPPORT OF CHARITY ORGANIZATIONS

Fashion&Talents supports associations and non-profit organisations working to improve the quality of life of children, young people and adults with disabilities or rare diseases, promoting inclusion, scientific research and emotional support.

Over the years, the fashion show event has supported:

  • Insieme per la Ricerca – PCDH19, whose primary objective is to promote and fund scientific research into mutations of the PCDH19 gene, responsible for serious disorders such as epilepsy, cognitive deficits and autism affecting girls
  • Fondazione Alessandra Bisceglia – Viva Ale Onlus, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the study and treatment of vascular anomalies
  • Fateci Posto aps, an association founded by a small group of parents and family members committed to implementing projects aimed at the integration, education and independence of young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Comici Camici, professionals specially trained to support children and adults with a smile as they face the difficult challenge of illness, through the role of the clown-doctor

Modelli si nasce, the first and only association in Italy that prepares young people with autism to enter the world of fashion and communication, overcoming the barriers and prejudices associated with autism by celebrating beauty in diversity.
